We received this award in recognition of our project to reduce carbon emissions after achieving our PAS2080 Accreditation in 2023, through the launch of our newly developed, carbon-friendly, rapid-set concrete mix, made in partnership with Premcrete Ltd.

Premcrete Highway FC Cement is a game-changing innovation in rapid-set, low-carbon concrete, designed to boost project efficiency, sustainability, and performance, it’s helping to shape the future of highways.

Our concrete mix designed to redefine efficiency and sustainability in the transport sector. Over the past 18 months, we have successfully implemented this groundbreaking solution in major highway projects, delivering exceptional performance, reducing environmental impact, and setting new industry benchmarks.

What have we achieved?

Increased productivity – By switching from existing rapid-set concrete to Premcrete Highway FC we were able to increase our output by 33.5% per night when installing full depth concrete bay replacements.
A reduction in Co2 – We completed a practical, data-driven Co2 analysis comparing the total carbon impact (including fuel, water, waste, materials, and supplier mileage) of one of our projects using Premcrete Highway FC rapid-set concrete versus the existing rapid-set concrete we’d previously used on many LMS projects and revealed an overall carbon reduction of 110+ Tonnes CO₂e.
